Biomedical Engineering and statistics double major from UNC what are my options?

I am a junior currently in biomed engineering and stats and I am interested in a career in finance or consulting. I have internship experience from before at national labs doing modeling and stats stuff but nothing fin related. Biomed Eng overall has pretty average placement in engineering fields since most companies prefer traditional engineers. I do not want to be stuck doing validation or quality control and finance/consulting side of things does interest me.

What options/pathways are there that can be utilized to break into IB/PE/Consulting?

I understand that recruitment for IB and such is already super competitive for majors in that field but any insights would be valuable.
