Boomerang back to banking?
I was laid off earlier this year and now have offers in strategic finance and strategy consulting. I am thinking of taking the consulting role for a year until the banking market recovers. Would it be difficult to move back to IB in a year or so? I want to do IB but can’t afford to wait on the market to rebound.

Doesn’t sound like you have a choice to not accept.
Are you saying you want to know if you should not take the job and keep waiting for an IB role?
More so looking to hear from others who have left IB for a short while and returned. My plan would be to try to lateral back into IB next year. I have two years of IB experience.
