Boutique IB Associate 2h Case Study, what to expect?
potentially having a 2h case study with a european boutique IB, (As an associate), will it be a 3 Statement modelling? or will it be more of a consulting case style?? URGENT, HELP!!!
Depends on the bank. I've taken maybe 3-4 boutique modeling tests in the past and it was usually a DCF / LBO I guess. Maybe 50% of time a three statement model too.
If you're a non-MBA Associate 2 you should know 3 statement modeling, but the transaction adjustments might be a place to trip up - don't spin the wheels trying to figure one specific thing out though because it might not appear on the test at all. Search on WSO for the name of bank and the modeling test too. Good luck!
