Break into BBs London

Completing my Msc Fin at a european target (HEC, Bocconi, St Gallen) this summer. Did my BSc at a Nordic semi target. My grades were quite bad from undergrad, but somehow managed to get into the MSc. My GPA from the masters is basically the cut off, so nothing crazy, but acceptable.  Worked 2 yrs under the CFO of a scaleup, completed an internship at a no name VC, and will be doing a spring offycle in a boutique IB in the nordics as well.

I can't manage to land a single interview for london BBs or MMs, no matter what. Im targeting IB, but seems like im getting nowhere. By the end of the offcycle i will be doing now, I will have 1 month before graduating. Any tips on what I should do these next months to get ahead? Get a better internship at a reputable bank in the nordics, then pivot? I speak Swedish, French, spanish as well, if that means anything..

Thanks in advance

Work in your own region first. IBs in Nordics I'm sure will gladly take you. Then pivot to London. If you go to hec and speak french then target Paris too

Thanks for the insight. Is that more realistic than pursuing off-cycles in London after graduation?

Of course. Most continental candidates succeed in London because they gain solid experience in their own region first.
