Breaking into a HF from Undergrad

I know that IB to PE or HF after 1-2 years is the traditional path that most take, but have any of u gone straight to a HF out of Undergrad? I would love to hear your stories. btw I am a rising junior recruiting for IB right now, but my goal really is to end up at a HF so I wanna hear some insight into how realistic it is to go straight into a HF. I go to a well known non target and have a 3.85 GPA.
