Breaking into healthcare investing without a relevant degree?
Sounds daft but I've been wondering if this is doable. I think my ultimate goal is healthcare PE/HF. However, my degree is BSc in business intelligence, and my first full-time job, starting in 2 months, will be FICC structuring (at a top 2 bank, but I don't think that'll help). If I do a Master’s in biotech (or other related fields like public health?) will it open some doors? Or is PhD/MD a must? Also any recommendations on learning materials/books for healthcare investment would be greatly appreciated.
I believe I have seen people get some sort of non-phd degree in a healthcare field (like a bachelors in science or a masters in biotech or something) and use that to get into healthcare banking and from that i would think it’s possible to get into healthcare investing, but just my simple thought. Either way, best wishes and good luck :)
Thanks for this man
