Breaking into IB with a 3.56 from a semi target
I currently have a 3.56 GPA from a semi-target school and am wondering about my chances to break into IB. I come from a school that is a semi-target, but has a very strong and reputable connections with IB. I’ve cold emailed around 60 people and have had about 10 phone calls with different BBs and EBs in the last two weeks. I’ve interned in Wealth Management at a top 10 firm and also had an opportunity to be a lead marketing intern while I was abroad in Singapore. I plan to work at a regional bank over my winter break, but likely in a finance roll and nothing investment banking.
I’m wondering if I have a shot to make it. I have 2 semesters left, and I likely see my gpa pulling up to a 3.6-3.7, but say it doesn’t for the sake of the argument. Will I make it?
Also going to add I am in the investment banking academy at my school as well as a few other finance clubs, and I would say my resume looks really solid. I am a white male if that matters.
