Calling up a Banker Whose Been Unresponsive
I had reached out to a banker (whose from the same native country as me) via email requesting a catch-up call. I had interviewed with the bank this person's at almost a year ago, but due to some highly odd circumstances, I was ghosted. I am thinking of giving this guy a call next week and catching up. It will be a bold move, but I have the confidence and relevant work experience though I haven't done this before.
Do you think it'll cause him to look at me favorably for being proactive? Or can this hurt me?
If I end up going to his voicemail, should I leave a message and if so what should I say? Or is it better to keep on trying until he picks up? The downside I see with voice message is that it may slip through the cracks and I may never know if he heard it.
