Can I break in after graduating?

I'm graduating from a T30 and have a FP&A internship lined up which should convert to a job offer. I'm working on my technicals right now for IB and was wondering if it's possible to land a FT IB analyst job or if that's just a waste of time.

I would really appreciate some advice on this. I could do 3 years WE -> MBA -> IB. But, I'd rather go straight into IB, which gives me the chance of breaking into PE.
