Can you help by reviewing resume.

Hey all, can you take a look? I was pretty confident in this, but I have recently applied for a bunch of jobs and have heard very little. Best to use everything available to me.

Also, all the bullet and paragraph formatting issues are Razume's fault. They look right in the actual document

Thanks

Did the spacing get screwed up in Razume or is that how it always looks?

These are my suggestions:

Summary: I would remove this entirely however if you want to keep it, it should say, "Experienced leader with nearly a decade-long track record of successfully managed teams of all sizes in (define the business) and (define the type of business operation) settings...interfacing cross functionally, and taking decisive (define the type action, i.e., portfolio mgmt decisions, technical execution decisions etc.) to improve organizations.

Under ODU and USNA, just put your GPA. Unless you are trying to get back into school, in the working environment, I really don't want to see all that as a Director/MD.

Be more concise in your bullets. (and make everything a bullet - quicker to read) I'm getting tired as a read through your background. Think to yourself, quality and concision in your bullet statements.

This is a good starting point, but you have some work to do.

FYI, I was an Econ/English major in undergrad so I am a stickler for grammatical arrangement/correct usage. Think about that when you are re-assembling your resume'...

I recently had a friend who is the COO of a hedge fund review my CV and she told me to lose the "summary" part because anyone should be able to make those conclusions after reading your CV. It makes sense if you think about it. She also said you can put the "summary" in the cover letter if needed.

I'm sure everyone has their opinions and objections on this point. I chose to listen to her and lose my summary sections because she is an extremely detail-oriented manager. I figured I'd share the idea with you, but it is ultimately your choice.

hah - shows what paid comments are worth. I put the summary at the behest of a contracted post-mba career coach through my school's career management office! Thanks guys. Aside from the bullets being wordy, are some of the grammatically incorrect?
