Can't make contact with HR BAML

I interviewed for a position with BAML and I haven't heard back yet. It has been over a month and I've tried to reach out via email and phone. I have the contact info for the person I interviewed with, should I call them since I can't get word back from the HR person who set up the interview.

do you have the email for the person you interviewed with? I'd try that before calling.

Unfortunately though, chances aren't great if it's been a month with no contact

What do you think of a similar case but when HR has reached out twice to say hold tight and sorry for the delay.

My gut tells me that they've gone with someone else but I'm not sure, why they would keep me 'on hold' for so long.

it could be any number of things, most of which are out of your control. Recruiting timelines can get shuffled around and sometimes processes are extended to accommodate scheduling conflicts and stuff.

To your point, it's possible that they've offered someone else and they're waiting for them to accept. That being said, that candidate might've since accepted (or offer went to someone else on waitlist) and they forgot to follow up with you.

You might as well follow-up again but don't expect it to pan out at this point
