Career advice- retail banking/single family office/transaction advisory services
Hey guys!
I'm new to this site and I believe I might find some like minded fellas out here to help me make up my mind regarding my career.
So here goes. I have an undergrad in engineering, a postgrad in finance from a highly ranked UK uni with distinction and have spent the last one year searching for jobs in a frontier market country in Asia and in nearby countries and things here tend to be pretty slow.
I now have 3 options to choose from - a relationship manager in a retail bank targeting HNIs, an analyst in a single family office investing in private equity and real estate internationally, and an analyst in transaction advisory services in a consulting firm(not big 4).
I am generally a technical guy, but not a nerd and am well balanced in my skills. Sales would be good but the product offering in the retail bank is limited so its only a learning experience in soft skills not as much technically. The pay isnt very good but there is opportunity to make a lot in bonuses. The single family office work seems interesting, to analyse investment opportunities in PE funds and real estate modelling but the growth seems limited. Regarding the consulting firm, theyre known to pay cheaply. Help me please....
