Career Choice - What Is Your Dream Job? BX Doesn't count

My favorite discussions on this forum have to do with "ideal jobs", or "tell us your dream career path", only for someone to say they want to work their whole lives at Blackstone and they get shit on. I mean, whatever, that's their own choice.

I am currently interning in IB and performing well (I have previous IB experience at a tiny shop and I think it's helped getting up to speed despite WFH). If I wanted to I could stay in the industry, make great money, get bitches, the whole nine yards - whatever. But I truly don't know if I want this... I don't mind late hours, I have been able to withstand the bullshit and I have experienced a little bit of the ups and downs from this lifestyle. I really just don't think it's that "fun", and sure you make a lot of money. However, I have been lucky to not "need" the IB money, and when I think about my life, I just want to enjoy it and make a positive impact on others. IB doesn't do it for me. For all of you, if money was not important, what is your dream career?

This guy gets it ^^^

If you're dreaming about working for someone else, you're literally just a beta. Dream to be the person other people work for.
