Career Decision- Big 4 nyc fdd internship vs big 4 regional business valuation associate role
Looking for honest perspectives.
accounting student - non target interested in M&A long term but not fully committed to it.
Option A: An accepted full-time offer in a big 4 business valuation group It’s guaranteed, close to home (regional office), and I enjoy the work.
Option B: An internship offer in a transaction advisory / due diligence group at another big 4 firm, in nyc It’s a stronger brand and deal signal, but it’s an internship. Taking it means reneging on Option A, delaying my full-time start by roughly a year, and relying on a return offer.
If both were full-time, I’d pick B. My hesitation is the conversion risk and the delay. Is a nyc diligence internship worth reneging on a guaranteed full-time valuation role?
How regional is it?

Dude thats fine. Its close enough. Just take it. Think of it like a relevant job acts like a 2-3yr runway to lateral, whereas if you're recruiting its more of a 'seasonal' think that leads to a certain inflection point.
Take valuation FT - its not SO FAR removed from IB that you cant make the case & its full time. Remember we are in a HORRIBLE job market.
