Career Longevity… where’s the place to be?
I think it’s safe to say careers in finance are changing and changing quick given the rise in use of technology. Some paths are dying while others are gaining traction and demanded skills are changing accordingly.
I’m still early in my career so wanted to create this thread to get peoples thoughts on the best areas in finance to focus a career on. I know S&T and Equity Research are still strong areas but plateauing in terms of growth but any thoughts here? Would asset management have more growth than S&T or Equity Research? How about the longevity of Alternatives (real estate, infrastructure)?
