Career Path Advice

Hi, just wanted quick advice on something.

Im a student at Cornell University, just finished freshman year. I'm currently in the college of engineering doing CS. I had a rough semester and my GPA is sub 2.0. So I'm looking to transfer to the business school, but it will be competitive. Or at minimum go to College of Arts & Sciences to get a B.A in Econ.

I have done very well in school from K to 12 and I have an expansive knowledge of financial markets and basic IT skills. I'm interested in getting a job in investment banking, but I know that my GPA is going to be a major obstacle, due to the first year.

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how I can still get a job at a prestigious firm. I know that I need to improve my GPA, but I'm also worried that my low GPA will disqualify me from even being considered for an interview.

I'm open to any suggestions, so please let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks!
