Change to Internal Business ethical auditor from big 4 advisory?

Hi all,

I’m currently working as 1st year risk/compliance consultant in one of the big 4s. I’m in the dilemma of whether I should stay (at least till senior consultant) or change already now (after working 7 months).

I came across an opportunity to be an internal business ethical auditor for a large pharmaceutical company. The work responsibility includes anti-bribery, CSR and ethical auditing etc. I’ll have the chance to travel ~100 days globally per year.

I have a master degree in Finance and started as a risk/compliance consultant last summer. I enjoy the working environment at big 4, but the projects I’ve been staffed to are quite boring.

  1. How is the career path for internal ethical auditor?
  2. Would you recommend me to switch job already now?

Thanks a lot!
