Currently finishing my MBA and working in REPE as an associate making a good living. I got married within the last year and will be returning to the US to resume my career at home. I am very passionate about teaching and basketball and had worked with the coaching staff throughout my undergrad and was an assistant at a D1 school for a year after I graduated. I have been interviewing with REPE firms, but have been networking with coaches in college and NBA GMs and am starting to gain some traction in landing a position.
I know this forum generally leans towards the highest paying jobs or the most prestigious positions, but for people that had the choice between jobs that fulfill their passions and the more conventional route, what has been your experience and do you have any regrets? Me and my wife are looking to start a family in 4-5 years, so stability is also something I'm taking into account on top of pay.
