Choosing Offers

Hi All,

Was lucky enough to receive several offers and want to ask for advice regarding choosing between them. I've anonymized slightly – my offers are split between NY and SF. While I'm incredibly interested in tech banking, I also think there's no better place to be in your 20s than New York. Would appreciate any insights into choosing based on prestige, culture, and potential exits. Thinking about traditional buyout vs tech PE & growth opportunities. Thank you.

NY offers:

JPM

Lazard NY / Evercore NY

PWP NY / Moelis NY

SF offers:

PWP SF / Moelis SF

Centerview Menlo / Lazard SF

BofA

Just my opinion, but if you value your social experience then go NY (PWP / Moelis) or if it's Evercore then them. Can't go wrong with either of those. Now if you want the best overall experience which will allow you to exit or do whatever then go Centerview Menlo if it is an offer from them. You'll get paid the best, have the best learning experience, and work with some terrific people. If you are ok with social life taking a slight hit in SF, but really want to work in tech, then go PWP / Moelis SF. Just depends on what you value most. I'd take the Centerview offer if you actually do have one, but again, this is all my opinion and I'm sure others have more informed advice.
