So I was asked to give a market update, investment class pitch, and was asked a technical (2 bonds, one at $95 and one at $100, all else equal, which one would you buy?). My feedback was that I was unable to articulate succinctly. So, my advice would be to practice a shit ton and don't worry about not covering all your bases. If the interviewer wants to know more, then he/she will ask.
I want to take a stab does it depends on your investment strategy but correct me if I'm wrong you'd prefer the 100 because it has a higher coupon which provides greater protection in a rising interest rate environment or you buy the 95 dollar price and work it off to other investors near the 100 dollar price to flip and make a quick profit?

Hi,
So I was asked to give a market update, investment class pitch, and was asked a technical (2 bonds, one at $95 and one at $100, all else equal, which one would you buy?). My feedback was that I was unable to articulate succinctly. So, my advice would be to practice a shit ton and don't worry about not covering all your bases. If the interviewer wants to know more, then he/she will ask.
Hopefully this helps everyone in the future.
