Citi S&T Full Time First Round Technicals?
I have a first round for Citi S&T FT next week. It's over Zoom, and the recruiter said to expect both behaviorals and technicals. Does anyone know what I should focus on in terms of studying for technicals? Not sure how deep they'll go considering it's a first round in a trading role.
Thanks!
For my Citi first round I was asked bond price/interest relationship, "how would you allocate a portfolio of $X?", and markets questions.
Can you elaborate on the bond question? Was it just "what is the relationship between bond prices and interest rates and why?"
Pretty much, and also if x happens, what happens to y? Understand duration, and maybe convexity.
I forgot if Citi asked but another firm asked brainteasers.
None of my interviewers ever asked black scholes or greeks, but I think I was asked options payoffs once.
Would you expect FT interviews to be harder than SA interviews?
Calculation of convexity and duration of a specific bond and what it implies for investors. The exact calculation read out loud and then tons of questions regarding hybrid bonds....with complex embedded options and other “exotic” stuff. Ended with a question about what a coupon serves for.
What the largest ten bonds in the US trades at....
Montecarlo....explain the simulation....was one question and also the “backward induction” method.
