Citigroup Cover Letter

Hi guys,

Was wondering what address I should put on my Citigroup cover letter. Should I use the 399 Park Ave, 388 Greenwich, 390 Greenwich, or the Citigroup Center address?

I am applying for banking and S&T. Thanks so much.

that's the fundamental flaw of the certification system; no one who is legit would be willing to give out his/her email address, but you'll easily find college kids summering in ML PWM optimizing their transient email address to appear more authoritative on an anonymous msg board.

Patrick? Anybody? How does this happen? How can you have a system where ppl are supposed to be certified (and in the industry), yet you guys are approving kids still in school writing fucking cover letters? Not only do I doubt the legitimacy of most of the advice on this board, but now I've got to question certified users as well?

nystateofmind,

that is a good question. probably what happened is he e-mailed me while working as a Summer Analyst from his work account and I was too busy to go through and read all his posts.

I was/am very careful for all of my certification and I would challenge you to find 1 other Certified User that is not a professional. I have had about 20 other summer analysts try this before and I haven't certified any of them. Unfortunately the process is human and I must have missed this one so for that I apologize.

Anyways, I have removed his certification. You can check in the Certified User Group but I am confident that this is the only such screw up. I will take an hour now to go through each Certified User myself right now and make sure none of them are like Madcatz.

Disagree. Back when I was working in banking, though it was before the days of certification, I would have given my email address to the site mods. Not to everybody on the site, of course, but to trusted individuals. In fact, I think I did for some reason. I think there are a lot of legit people here who aren't that paranoid. Certainly I'm not anymore, since I'm living in the Bay Area and no longer banking. But I think the certification system is crucial. Before it, real bankers were being driven away just because they didn't want to have to prove themselves on a daily basis. And there were issues like, "No, he made a typo in that second paragraph. A real banker never makes a typo because they're so insanely detail-oriented. He's faking." I mean, come on.

I agree that 388 is the address that should go on the letter. I think HR was on the 34th floor a few years back, may still be. Or it may not: caveat emptor.

Patrick, you challenge? I accept your challenge.

Interesting that someone who was a SOPHOMORE in college 6 months ago is now a certified professional...
