Coffee with a VP in IB at a MM bank.

Hey Guys,

I am grabbing coffee with a VP in Investment Banking at a MM bank next week. My goal or mission for the meeting is to get an interview for IB analyst at the bank. I come from a non-target school (same school as the VP, 4 years earlier.)

I am really passionate about markets, I am on the CFA track preparing for Level 1 right now. I would tend to not try and pretend to know more than I do, erring on the side of humility and showing a desire to learn but I come from a non-target school and realize that I need to show competence/intelligence and be well spoken. What would you guys think is the best way for me present myself in this conversational setting to gain an interview?
