After Mailtester got shanked beyond the point of being usable, I've been using Hunter.io. Seems ok so far.
What happened to Mailtester?
Someone new took over the site, you have to pay now and only get so many free searches/day, and plus the UI sucks now
So that’s why its no longer free...the UI is a little wonky but I still think it’s the most reliable testing service. Wouldn’t pay for it out of pocket though - ask your firm if they can expense it monthly and have a general account for your team to share (assuming it’s a smaller shop, if bigger you can probably get your own). The cheapest 30$ a month package is more than sufficient for about 10 people
