I know IBD can get really busy, how long should I wait? Is my resume that bad?

Yes! You need to show that you are proactive and follow up at “traditional” close of business every day. I’ve had great success setting up an automated follow up email to go at 5:03pm every day until I got the job.
I think they’re just busy. I have followup with the associate. He said he will call today, but then he did not call today. I guess he is just too busy since today is Monday.
