I am a sophomore in the middle of networking and was wondering if some bankers could specify whether they would be more inclined/likely to respond to a cold email or a LinkedIn message with a connection request, and why?

Get the company email and send them one. Bankers constantly check email. There are lots of tools out their can help with finding company emails.

Email - some people don't check linkedin, and may automatically discard random linkedin messages.

I agree with email being the best, but I have had my fair share of responses from linkedin. Perhaps if you can't find their email just use linkedin.

LinkedIn. I really don’t like people cold emailing me. This is gonna be one of the other 100+ emails I receive that day, and I can’t see your face/background. Also LinkedIn is more low-key
