Competitive experience for AM internship

I am a nontarget sophomore who is currently interning at a search fund (getting really good exposure to many different topics) I used to be interested in IB but my focus has switched more towards AM.

After this search fund internship, what should I try and secure so that eventually I can be a competitive candidate for an AM internship?

Stupid secondary question: is an AM internship good for S&T?
