country with the worst job market for finance?

i guess India is among the top where Finance market is not that efficient and you won't here any undergrad going directly to PE/VC/IB... there are fucking limited companies in this country.... everything is operations or backend...

Couldn’t agree more. The industry is so hard to get into in India unless ofc your daddy has big connections

imo FP&A in a MNC is better and gives you more space for growth and also a lot of freedom. B/office M&A is not really terrible work but limited growth and mobility. Unless you write the CAT and top IIM and f/o IB

They have a huge office in Bangalore, I think its the biggest outside the US, but mostly filled with a lot of back office tech and support for teams all across the world. GS IBD afaik doesn't do much work in India. The deals are fairly small. The Indian IBD is again mostly back office support for IBD teams all over the world. And its a hierarchy where there is not much growth, as after 3 yr analyst and good performance you may be transferred to FO in the team you were supporting but then you start all over again as Analyst 0.
