Credit Analyst in Oil & Gas Outlook?
I have an upcoming phone interview for a credit analyst position with an Oil & Gas company. It's not a BB or an MM but they're an independent firm who provides services to producers in crude oil logistics, water solutions, and liquids logistics.
I currently work as an AML analyst (which I have grown to hate) and have been trying to transition into something similar to a credit analyst role that involves financial statement analysis. I've read that oil and gas is on the decline and is being taken over by renewables. Is it worth pursuing a credit analyst position in an oil and gas oil these days? Would appreciate any input.
