Credit Suisse 2023 IB SA Recruiting FT: How should I phrase my summer experience?

Title says it all. I signed up for a CS 2023 IB SA contract but then y'all know what happened. HR recently came up and said SA offers are still honored, but who knows if they'd even give us any returns. So, I'm not taking any chances and I'm already looking for FT gigs. The 2024 IB FT situation is looking abysmal given all the recent layoffs, so I'm branching out and checking out other options like PE, ER, and consulting.

Most roles require networking way ahead of time, so here's the dilemma. How should I phrase my summer experience if I wanna explore other careers outside of IB but don't wanna come off like some quitter who didn't give his internship a chance? If I tell people I'm interning at CS this summer, they'll just assume I'm looking for alternatives.

Any thoughts or advice would be helpful, thanks in advance.
