Days off during summer internship
Would it be perceived badly to get a couple of days off my 9 weeks Summer internship to attend my graduation ceremony? Would that significantly affect my chances to convert it to full time?

I assume your graduation is at the very beginning of the summer in which case most people are just going through training. Shouldn't be an issue, I know at least two people in my group who took more than a day off at the beginning for final exams/graduation. Just let the HR team and whoever runs the SA program for the group you will be heading into know as soon as possible with the dates.
Otherwise, if a group won't let you take a day (or more) at the beginning of a 9-week internship for a graduation which only happens once I would think about if that's the group I would want to be in long term.
It would be late july.
Thanks!
How far into internship is this? Late July is kinda when you’re going to be expected to be contributing in some fashion.
My take would be that you shouldn’t do anything at all that can rock the boat during internship. There are sneaky hardos st all banks and one may take exception with that
Idk how you can advise this guy to skip his own graduation to "not rock the boat".
Ummm….
I believe what I said is that there are hardos waiting in the grass at all banks and that you never know.
Case 1: Goes to graduation and misses work
Case 2: Doesn’t go to graduation and doesn’t miss work
Which case has more risk associated with a return offer? I personally wouldn’t care or think about it at all if an intern did that but do understand there are people in the world and specifically in this industry that would.
If OP is ok with the risk of pissing that one overzealous VP off then that’s fine, not here to judge but do not think there is no risk associated.
Also…as is often the case with WSO..Are you a full time employee at an investment bank? If so, have you ever sat in on the round tables for the intern return offers? If you answered no to either then you shouldn’t be offering an opinion here.
I agree, my bad. I digress.
