lemme guess, target nondiverse? same man, was brutal this year. there's some hfs and umm/mm pe/growth firms that have openings right now, apply to them and could still be in a decent spot. I've actually gotten more traction from these opps with no networking than banks with networking, I'm pretty pissed lol

Yeah don’t want to be the guy to get mad at diversity programs, but the placement disparity between diversity and non-diversity was actually heinous this cycle. I’ve been going after LMM/MM banks but definitely still a struggle.

agreed. nothing we can do, just got to play the cards we're dealt. can't bring myself to be one of the people who fake diversity to get offers, at my target there seems to be more of those that got offers than nondivs who played it fair. am sure we will end up in a decent spot and can rerecruit for FT

Yeah I failed to recruit as well. Got a list of those funds/banks by any chance?

I’m just scrolling through Handshake and finding any 2024 Summer Analyst opportunities at this point (banking/private equity/secondaries) As for banks, I know that DC Advisory is recruiting right now which is a LMM/MM advisory boutique that gets good deal flow. There are probably going to be a few other solid banks that will open up this summer.

Literally same, target non-diverse 3.8 GPA. Only got in the process with two banks, gonna start casing soon at this point

Same here. Honestly, I am starting to look at other divisions now. I wanted to do IB straight outta college but its lookin like I’ll need to lateral now!

Same here, just got rejected by a bank that I networked with multiple VPs and MDs and thought I aced the interview (apparently they thought otherwise). Personally I’m looking at consulting and to lateral to IB or potentially PE if I’m lucky.
