Get good internships. Reach out to alumni if needed. Give 110% in the internships, convert to FT offer. 

That's great that you have a supportive family. But when it comes to what you're trying to do, you need to focus on #1 first. Let the security you can lavish on the family a few years from now be a positive by-product of making sure you're doing what's in your best interest first. You don't have to be a selfish prick, but do what you can to keep anyone else's problems become your problems and vice versa.

Help your family whenever you can but just try your hardest and that’s all you can do. Make sure they know u love them and ultimately u are the child so it’s not meant to all fall on your shoulders
