You're already doing the internship, so it's not a question of deciding whether something is worth it.
Let's pretend you're being genuine. The modelling and being around transactions will give you something to discuss in interviews, so that's a plus. You should take tons of notes and ask a lot of questions so you can sound extremely educated in interviews. You should also discuss networking with your boss, he must have decent connections.
