I would go for internship in New York as it is much better way to network.... and the MS Smith Barney won't help you with MS. They would typically frown on lateral move as you are giving finger to those who work there. Keep in mind you are late for internship in New York, so doing class/internship in Prague certainly will talk well come Junior year and you are looking for internship

You're fine for this summer. Get something in New York or equivalent next year. Your internship won't make you a more likely candidate for a New York non-PWM internship next year.

PWMs are only good for a few things:

-show interest in finance -push shitty jobs/internships off the resume -give you a lead for your story ie: "I'd much rather advise companies rather than individuals on organizing, restructuring, negotiating deals, etc."

You're fine.

I mean at this point I'm basically set on what I'm doing but this was definitely helpful advice. It sounds like while MSSB won't help me get something with MS, doing a class and an internship in Prague along with PWM will at least provide a talking point to get an internship next summer. Most people at my school don't get internships their Sophomore year. Then again, most people at my school don't go on to work at BBs
