Alright, so jumped into a PE process a few weeks ago. My first interview was with a Director in another group, who then kicked me over to the deal team. Since then, I've had two rounds with senior people on said team, but here's where it gets funky... a friend of mine is in the same process. He just got asked to come into the company's office in the city we live in (not the one that's hiring) after two rounds, but I haven't heard anything. Do y'all think he's getting caught up on interview rounds (again, I've had three convos, he's at two), or is he clearly the preferred candidate?
