Did not receive return offer despite great feedback. Don’t know what to do.

Earlier this year I accepted an offer to join a summer internship program for a top HF. I also accepted job unrelated to finance that was remote as I needed the money. I knew the risks of leaving the job for an internship but because of my experience I felt I had to do that to progress with my career. Unfortunately I'm also paying from mistakes in the past as I didn't apply myself as much in undergrad so this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I joined their operations team and did what everyone typically told me, ask loads of intelligent questions, be proactive, offer help, come in early etc.

The issue now is that I did not receive an offer and was told it is due to business needs and headcount, which I can understand but still a bit disappointed.

I applied to another role with a referral and a direct connection to the recruiter but still waiting response while also getting rejected/ghosted by a bunch of other places, both in my area and all over the country.

I have no clue what to do. I was told I have a good resume, great work experiences, and had other interviews for other firms. But ultimately have had no results.
