Diversity is Important because a diverse set of views on one problem makes the problem easier to solve
that doesn't mean that a company should actively discriminate amongst better candidates to hire a more diverse less accomplishing candidate
it is also unfair to those diverse people who got in on merit
corporate America should stop being so woke
you shouldn't have a diverse board to look good ( that is being a hypocrite and worse than a racist )
you should hire talented people on merit so they don't think that they got in due to their skin color or ethnicity but on their capability
TLDR: hire talented diverse people on MERIT /its good for all stakeholders
