Do Coverletters get read? GS and Cdn Banks
So... I was dumb enough to forget to put "Dear Mr./Ms. Recruiter" at the beginning of my cover letter, I just went straight to it, for 2 of my applications (RBC, and GS).
Do they even read these cover letters..? I think of GS applications equivalent to buying a lottery ticket (with time as my currency). But I'm worried abt RBC as well..
The computer that gets these things will laugh, but no humans, so don't worry.
I applied for an AM position at Goldman (online, shot in the dark I know) but I started off by saying "You're probably not going to read this so I'll keep it brief..."
