Do I correct after mistakenly calling a MD by his first name in email?
I sent a cold email to an alumni that a friend put me in touch with. I mistakenly called him by his first name in the initial email.
Should I correct it in my next email to Mr. ____, or keep the consistency?
I’d say 90% of people go by their first name and it would be weirder to call him “Mr.” The key is just being very respectful and clear in what you actually send, that is more important than a first or last name. So NO, do not correct yourself. Makes things very awkward.
No don't correct it. And Mr.____ is awkward imo
I think first name is fine.
