Do I need a freshman internship?

Hi all, current freshman here. Was wondering about the importance/necessity of getting a freshman internship. I’m kinda broke right now so I was thinking about just making as much money as possible with a normal job. But also if it helps significantly to get an IB job as a junior/senior then I would definitely try to get an internship this summer. Thanks

See what you can do for a finance internship. I know people who made more with their freshman internships than they realistically could have at a summer job. But also if you don’t have anything finance related it’s not bad, just do something that is interesting to talk about in an interview, will make for fun stories, or give you good professional anecdotes and that’ll still be good for recruiting.
