Do you NEED to network if you have a superday?

Title. I have a superday that I got by networking with a couple people and getting an accelerated process. I know it's important to keep networking, and I'm going to keep doing that. But before my superday, do I need to reach out to more people, or are superday decisions typically just made by the interviewers and HR? I know it couldn't hurt, but wanted to get your opinions.

Similar situation to you. Had a couple of analysts that referred me to the recruiting team, and was put in the recruiting process. Didn't network more and got the offer out of the process.

Having said that, I would still network if you think you are good at the networking. Imagine a scenario where two candidates are there and both of them aced the superday but one of them has spoken to like half the office and the other one hasn't. I would say 100% of the times the first one will get the offer. I was lucky I didn't have someone like that in my process tho but not everyone is.

Echo the above poster. I found it helpful to be able to say I spoke to certain people, and one of the guys I networked with actually did one of my superday interviews. That being said, wouldn’t say it’s necessary, but I definitely think there’s more upside down downside to it if you are good at talking to people. Also gives you a better idea of a firm’s culture the more people you to talk which can be beneficial should you receive an offer and on the fence about it.
