Does intern with investment management at the university's foundation during the semester matter?
Hey guys.
Just curious...I guess, to some extent, it matters for S&T, AM, etc. but not too much for IBD?
Thanks!
P.S. I'm not talking about ivy school's foundation. Think about semi-target/big state schools.

Yeah it provides for good stories during interviews. Also gives you some knowledge as to where your school invests, which gives you some idea on due dilligence type matters when figuring out how to split up school money to different investments.
Also acts as a differentiator against your peers.
I see. thanks AlphaG. I guess it's a good experience, more or less.
It demonstrates interest and is a much better experience than working with the undegraduate-led investment club.
At my non-target state school, it's a big deal because the kids in the fund spend 30 hrs a week working @ the fund.
Most of these kids had 3.8+ gpas too. I believe as of now, over 3/4 of them have placed in top MMs or BB. \Just my two cents on my school.
my good friend actually interns, PM me if you want his "john doe'd," resume
