Don't know what to do

Rising soph here. Live in Dallas, but got an offer for ops analyst at very big AM firm in Boston. Uncle lives there so no living expenses for me, just flew out and live with him. I started this internship 2 weeks ago and I'm losing my mind, man. This is all data entry, and I don't see myself doing this for the next 4 months or I'm going to crazy. I want to do IB, so I thought the name of the AM firm would help, but I'm literally gonna go crazy. Boston isn't even fun, but I've only been here for 2 weeks, so still gonna check more of it out. I did a search fund internship in the winter and he made me make pitch decks, did some financial modelling, and I loved every second of it. Now, I'm dreading what I'm doing at the AM firm.

My question is, what would happen in terms of repercussions if I left? Should I leave?

Believe it or not, you're ahead of a lot of freshmen (rising soph so assuming you finished freshman year?) so I think you're doing good so far. If it's paid and you're literally doing data entry just stick with it. Network with some people on the AM side as that may help but just relax and enjoy one of your last free summers. You'll have a big name when you look for a sophomore summer internship and that will eventually lead to you snagging an SA spot for junior year.

Any advice on how to keep my sanity while doing this gig? Literally, the only thing keeping me going is the name brand of this going on my resume helping me network with ex-workers of this company at firms I want to intern at for SA2024 as well as 2023 soph summer. But I'm going crazy doing the repeated work.
