Dont OVERESTIMATE the competition.
One thing I have noticed on this website is everyone's affection to "TARGETS" ( I am at a target) and habit of overestimating the competition. After going through hundreds of linkedn resumes who work at GS,JPM,BX,HF most people(analyst and asso..) have a decent to very good profile(even at top HF and PE) ,if not bad. 1/4 are great students which excellent experience and top targets but not that extraordinary .I believe it is fairly achievable if you are hungry to get the job as many stories on the site has proved and have worked hard on your technical as well as soft skills.
