Early Internship Opportunities?

I am currently a high school senior, and I am a prospective finance major (or economics/math if the college I matriculate to does not offer finance). Several sectors that have interested me include investment banking, hedge funds, and private equity.

In order to start developing my resume, I would like to have a busy summer before my freshman year at college. Are there any summer programs for rising college freshman/recent high school graduates? I'm in the NYC area. I'm not expecting anything crazy like an analyst position at GS, but I want to get some exposure in the finance field and build my network before I go to college, even it is merely by grabbing people's coffee and whatnot.

How should I begin this search, if it is even feasible? Does anyone know of any specific internship opportunities for people at my age/skill level. If it helps I have some experience on Bloomberg Terminals and am currently taking the certification course. I also have played the virtual stock market game for a little over three months :D

Thank you in advance for any advice!

There is a chance you have an opportunity.

I think your best bet is to go to the store and get 500 balloons to start. Its imperative you blow up each balloon yourself.

Hopefully we can take some of this Motivating Millennial Positive Energy (MMPE) and sell this stuff bottled up on the streets to all these emo and depressed young'ns who are dragging ass everywhere.

This stuff will be the new adderall.

lol

Ok - yeah you should be able to find something. It might take awhile, but being in NYC helps. Its going to be as close to admin type stuff, but this will be the beginning of your professional network.
