I know everyone wants the glamour and prestiege of being in IBD. Realistically you have 250 people fighting over 1 job. Assuming 25 people are equally qualified and hungry, that still leaves 24 people that would be better off looking elsewhere.
Which department in an Investment Bank has the lowest ratio of strong applicants:: openings?
The back office.
The mail room. And as a bonus it's slightly more prestigious than the equally easy janitor's closet.

Recruiting season is upon the bschool undergrads! I'm currently shooting to for BB IBD but I'm completely unsure of which group/industry to apply for since I have a lot of interests and frankly just want to get in the door.
So, what is the best industry or group to apply for? As in, which group hires the most undergrads/would be easiest to get into? Specifics for GS and Morgan would be most appreciated but I'd love to know for any BB.
I hear Walgreens is hiring.
Seriously though all BBs are quite difficult to get into right now. BoA takes a larger number from non-targets if that counts?
