Easy internships to get?

Hey guys I go to a semi-target in the midwest and am looking for internships for the fall and next summer. I am a rising sophomore. My gpa is a 3.8+ and I have a pretty decent resume. This past summer I interned at a local real estate brokerage because I wasn't able to find a PE or HF or VC internship even though I cold emailed a lot. I want to be able to get an internship for the fall and spring as well as the summer but I feel like it is really difficult especially if you know no one. I applied to the big banks too but I am not really that hopeful. I applied for internships at JPM and MS where I feel like there are less applicants. Does anyone know any small/midsize PE, HF, or VC firm that is easy to get an internship or any internship opportunities at big banks that are finance related but easier to get?

Hey,

I’ve done a lot of research on the background of those that secured high finance internships/jobs and there seems to be a trend of sales(b2b) experience.

Sales/ biz dev internships are relatively easy to secure. Again this is just based on my research and experience but this trend maybe because it shows recruiters you have experience using your soft skills to bring in clients and build relationships.

My suggestion would be looking for these as a last resort. Maybe someone with more valid data or experience can give a better insight. Hope this helps .
