ECM role at British Investment Bank vs QIS at Goldman Sachs
Hi all,
I am a senior about to graduate college and I have two job offers. I am unsure where each role could get me as I am new to finance (I studied math my entire undergrad). I don't know what exactly I want to do in finance, but I want to make sure I choose the right offer for my first job.
I currently have an offer from an Equity Linked Solutions group at Barclays where I interned (Capital Markets). I also have an offer from the Quantitative Investment Strategies group from Goldman Sachs (Asset Management group).
I am unsure which one to choose as I don't know which one will open doors in the future. I really liked both of the groups, starting pay is the same (unsure about the bonuses) but would love to hear the pros and cons for each and any additional insight. Anything will help.
Hey rudywasabi, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I'm here since nobody responded to your thread! Bummer...could just be time of day or unlucky (or the question/topci is too vague or too specific). Maybe one of these topics will help:
More suggestions...
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
