Edward Jones Rotational Development Program

At a university networking/interview event, I met with two financial advisers with Edward Jones. I went in thinking, oh great, here come a couple brokers about to tell me about "unlimited earning potential" for a "motivated, self-starter." Well, I was pleasantly surprised. I stated my interest in the research and analytical side of Edward Jones and they were happy to discuss it.

The position they had in mind was in their 'Rotational Development Program' (RDP). Yes there is an RDP which has the goal of making you a financial adviser, but this one is different. The RDP we discussed includes a stint in their research department with the goal of placing you in the department of best fit.

Anyone here familiar with this program or know someone who has gone through it?

Any similar programs with different companies that provide the same opportunity to explore different areas of the analytical (not sales) side?

LeChiffre "unlimited earning potential" for a "motivated, self-starter.

Haha they literally all say EXACTLY that. I once had a recruiter for a "retirement planning service" service tell me that I could easily earn 6 figures in my first year.

"Yes. Money has been a little bit tight lately, but at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I gonna be thinking about how much money I have? No. I'm gonna be thinking about how many friends I have and my children and my comedy albums."
